Signal source
Route Webhook alerts automatically.
Send a signal from your own script, application or any service that can make an HTTPS POST request.

From your signal to your broker, through Algomatex.
01About the source
Get to know Webhook
A webhook is a method of delivering an event to an HTTP endpoint, not a company or a single product.
- What it does
- A script or service can POST a JSON signal to Algomatex when its own conditions are met. The linked HTTP reference explains the request method.
- What to check before connecting
- The sender needs HTTPS access and must produce the required signal format. Keep the destination URL private and validate the data before delivery.
02Setup
Connect Webhook in three steps.
- 1
Copy your webhook URL
Create a webhook in Algomatex and copy its URL. It is the only thing the sender needs.
- 2
Send an HTTPS POST request
POST the signal JSON to the webhook URL you copied from Algomatex. Set Content-Type to application/json and map the sender data to the signal fields. Keep the webhook URL private.
- 3
Algomatex does the rest
Every signal passes the safety checks before an order reaches your broker.
03The signal
What to send.
Send the JSON as the request body with Content-Type: application/json. The example below uses sample values; use the Signal Builder to generate the payload for your intended order.
{
"signal": "BUY",
"side": "long",
"ticker": "AAPL",
"price": 189.5
}04Questions
Webhook, answered.
Do I need a particular charting platform?
No. The sender can be any application that can post the required JSON to your Algomatex webhook URL. Transform third-party payloads into that format before sending them.
What if the request fails?
Algomatex answers every post with a status and a reason, and the rejected signal appears in the webhook's deliveries, so you can fix the body and send it again.
