01About the source
Get to know TradingView
TradingView is a charting and market-analysis platform with indicators, screeners and configurable alerts.
- What it does
- Use chart conditions or strategy alerts to decide when to send a signal. The alert message becomes the webhook request body.
- What to check before connecting
- Webhook delivery requires an eligible account configuration and two-factor authentication. Match the alert symbol to an instrument supported by your connected broker.
Features, limits and prices are set by the provider and may change. Check its official pages before subscribing.
02Setup
Connect TradingView in three steps.
- 1
Copy your webhook URL
Create a webhook in Algomatex and copy its URL. It is the only thing the sender needs.
- 2
Configure your TradingView alert
Create or edit an alert in TradingView. Enable Webhook URL in its notification settings and paste your Algomatex URL. Put the signal JSON in the alert message. Enable two-factor authentication on your TradingView account to use webhooks.
- 3
Algomatex does the rest
Every signal passes the safety checks before an order reaches your broker.
03The signal
What to send.
Place the signal JSON in the TradingView alert message. Use the Signal Builder output for your order; the example below uses a sample symbol and price.
{
"signal": "BUY",
"side": "long",
"ticker": "AAPL",
"price": 189.5
}04Questions
TradingView, answered.
What goes in the TradingView alert message?
Use the JSON generated by the Algomatex Signal Builder. TradingView sends the alert message as the request body; valid JSON is sent as application/json.
What if the request fails?
Algomatex answers every post with a status and a reason, and the rejected signal appears in the webhook's deliveries, so you can fix the body and send it again.
